Dearest Middleof-ers,
Hope you are all still glowing in the light you generated last Thursday evening. For those of you who couldn’t make it (because…life was life-ing), know that your spirit was felt in the room.
Reflecting on the lively conversations and deep connections we all felt, I know the work we started together has only just begun.
While TARRA will forever remain a container for this Denver community, I have always looked for a way to extend it outside of those four walls to meet you where you are.
MiddleOf isn’t anything yet. That’s why I am asking you to help me shape what it becomes. However, before we dive into this, note that I am conscious of the fact that:
No one needs another blog to read.
You don’t need another membership subscription.
You don’t need another Substack chat room to follow.
You have plenty of ways to spend your money and your time.
More events aren’t the answer.
Masterminds and cohorts seem to be ineffective.
So my question to you is…”what’s missing”? Even more important, is anything missing or is there too much and it’s all just totally overwhelming to know where to go and what to do and who to connect with?
What need is not being fulfilled or the solutions lack substance?
What do you need to thrive in the middle?
Who do you need to surround yourself with to keep one foot in front of the other no matter how tough it gets?
What do you want to see, do, experience?
Who do you want to do that with?
What would shift as a result of that?
The MiddleOf isn’t about starting something or getting to the finish line. It is about what you need to keep your head on, your socks pulled up, your head held high and your cortisol levels…level?
If you want to help me figure out what’s missing in the middle, head over to this little survey.
If a survey feels too restrictive, shoot me an email and tell me what you are looking for right now to make life, work, and business a little more intriguing. I’m all ears, Kate@TheMiddleOf.com.
As always, thanks for being on this journey. Middling isn’t easy, but I have discovered that with a few laughs, some great company and a little sunshine, it’s really not so bad after all.
Onward Together,
Kate
You wrote that no one needs another blog, more events, another membership, etc. I'd like to add a caveat to that, if I may. Nobody needs another blog written by Chat GPT, a transactional event, or a surface-level membership. But at their core, we do need these things. It's not a one-size-fits-all. It's about putting out an energy that attracts those who are the right fit for that time. For example, saying we don't need more blogs is like saying we don't need more books. Even if the ideas are not new, they are delivered with a new messenger who has a new perspective and new connection to the reader. Sometimes it's about the time and the place-and the emotional state-of the person receiving the information. Yes, there are plenty of times when there is too much info. swirling around, and the connection is missed or not needed, but other times it lands just perfectly when the person needs to read it, hear it, acknowledge it, face it, the most. At the core of all the things on your list are community and connection. We need that now more than ever. Thank you for sharing your journey in the middle.
